Our commitment

Chamberlin Design builds websites for people, and that means everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, magnification, or zoom. We work to make this site accessible and to keep it that way as it changes, and we build the same care into every site we make for clients.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are the international standard for web accessibility, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some content does not fully meet the standard: the pages we built were designed and tested to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and the exceptions are listed under Known limitations below.

How we checked

This website was evaluated on September 29, 2026 by Chamberlin Design (a self-evaluation):

• Automated testing with axe, the accessibility testing engine from Deque Systems, against every WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA rule it checks, on every type of page, on a computer and a phone.
• Hands-on checks of keyboard use, visible focus, color contrast, zoom and reflow down to a 320 pixel wide screen, form labels and error messages, and moving content.

What we did

• Clear headings and page landmarks, and a visible outline on whatever you are on when you use a keyboard.
• Text and buttons meet the WCAG color contrast levels, and pages still work when zoomed to 200% or on a small phone.
• Images have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Form fields have labels, clear error messages, and autofill.
• The moving client reviews have a Pause button, stop while you hover or use the keyboard in them, and stay still if your device asks for less motion.

Known limitations

• Client project hubs and documents. Proposals and agreements in client hubs are designed as printable pages, and some older documents may not read as smoothly with a screen reader. We will send any document in another format on request.
• Client websites. Our work section links to client sites, which have their own accessibility statements.

Technology

The site is built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA, and relies on them to be accessible. It is designed to work with current versions of Safari, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, and with screen readers such as VoiceOver, TalkBack, and NVDA.

Feedback and help

If anything on this site is hard to use, or you find something that does not meet these standards, please tell us. We will get you the information you need another way, and we will work to fix the problem. We try to respond within two business days.
