Website redesign
Keep what works, rebuild the rest, and come out with a faster site that brings in more inquiries. Every old URL is redirected to its new page, so you keep your history on Google.

Short answer
A website redesign at Chamberlin Design is a full custom rebuild, not a new theme on the old site. Most redesigns fit the Small Business package at $4,000 to $6,000, take 7 to 21 days, and keep your search history by redirecting every old URL to its new home. Spiritual Wings Coaching was rebuilt and live in one day.
Time for a rebuild.
A redesign earns its cost when the site has a job it is not doing yet.
Most visitors are on phones
A site built for phones first, with tap-to-call and short forms, turns more of that traffic into calls.
You want a faster site
Our recent client sites score 96 to 100 on Google Lighthouse on desktop. Faster pages keep visitors and help rankings.
The site should bring in leads
Quote forms, booking, address checks or sign-ups, built around the first question your customers ask.
Your business has grown
New services, new towns or a new brand that the old site does not show.
You are moving off a builder
Moving from Wix, Squarespace or WordPress to a custom site you own.
Updates feel like a chore
With a hosting and care plan, you send the change and it is done.
Rebuild without losing ground.
The part most redesigns skip is protecting what the old site already earned.
01Audit
List every page Google knows about, which ones bring in visits, and the current speed scores.
02Demo
See the new site before you commit, with a line-item proposal.
03Rebuild and redirect
Move over the content that works, rewrite what does not, and point every old URL to its new page with a permanent redirect.
04Launch and resubmit
Go live, submit the new sitemap to Google and Bing, and watch Search Console for anything missed.
Rebuilt and live.
Spiritual Wings Coaching was rebuilt and live in one day. Fixed Ops Roundtable went from one page that sent people to Eventbrite to a full platform in 21 days.
What it costs.
| Scope | Package | Setup | Typical time |
|---|---|---|---|
| One section, a landing page or design work on its own | Minimum project | From $2,000 | Days |
| Site up to 8 pages with lead capture and search setup | Small Business | $4,000 to $6,000 | 7 to 21 days |
| Larger site with booking, e-commerce or automations | Growing Business | $6,000 to $10,000 | Quoted with the proposal |
Prices from the Chamberlin Design pricing page. Hosting and care is $199 to $299 a month, or skip the monthly with an upfront build on your own hosting.
From the builder
The part of a redesign people forget is the old URLs. If Google has been sending people to an old services page for years, that address needs to forward to the new page, or that history is gone. I map every old URL before launch and check Search Console after, so the new site starts with everything the old one earned.
Questions
Will I lose my Google rankings if I redesign?
Not if the redesign is handled right. Every old URL gets a permanent redirect to its new page, titles and content that rank are carried over or improved, and the new sitemap goes to Google and Bing on launch day.
How much does a website redesign cost?
Most redesigns fit the Small Business package at $4,000 to $6,000. Larger sites with booking, e-commerce or automations run $6,000 to $10,000. The minimum project is $2,000.
How long does a redesign take?
Most go live in 7 to 21 days. Having your content and photos ready is the biggest thing that speeds it up.
Can you move my site off Wix, Squarespace or WordPress?
Yes. Builder designs cannot be exported, so the site is rebuilt from scratch, your content is carried over, and old URLs are redirected.
Do I keep my domain and email?
Yes. Your domain stays registered in your name, and your email keeps working because its settings are left in place when the site moves.
