SEO and AI search
Set up so Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini can find your business, understand what you do and recommend you. Built into every site I make, and available as its own project.

Short answer
AI assistants mostly recommend businesses they can find in the big search indexes, so AI search starts with SEO done right: a fast site search engines can crawl, a clear page for each service and question, structured data, a Google Business Profile and consistent listings. On top of that I let the AI search crawlers in, add an llms.txt file, and write pages that answer real customer questions with real numbers.
Found
Indexed in Google, Bing and Brave, with Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools set up and a sitemap submitted.
Understood
A clear page for every service and question, with structured data that says who you are, where you work and what it costs.
Recommended
Listings, reviews and specific facts that ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot can quote.
Found, understood, recommended.
The same setup goes into every site I build.
Keyword research
Real search volumes from Google's Keyword Planner for hundreds of phrases your customers use, sorted by how ready the searcher is to buy.
A keyword map
Every search worth winning gets one page that answers it: services, industries, towns where you have real work, costs and common questions.
Technical setup
Fast pages, clean titles and descriptions, canonical URLs, a sitemap and redirects, so nothing gets in the way of a crawl.
Structured data
Schema markup that tells search engines and AI tools who you are, what you offer, where you work and what it costs.
Search Console, Bing and listings
Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, your Google Business Profile, Bing Places and Apple Business set up and consistent.
AI crawler access
OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended allowed in, plus an llms.txt summary of your business.
Research, then build.
No guessing at keywords. Every page starts from what people really type.
01Research
Pull real search data for your services, your industry and your towns, plus the questions people ask before they buy.
02Map
Group the searches by intent and assign each group one page, so pages never compete with each other.
03Build
Write and build the pages with a short answer at the top, real numbers, proof from your work and structured data underneath.
04Submit and measure
Submit to Google and Bing, ping search engines when pages change, and track rankings, clicks and AI citations in Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.
Built to be read.
Fixed Ops Roundtable launched with more than 1,800 pages search engines can read. JMT Sanitation has a page and a route map for every town it serves.
From the builder
I am running this exact process on chamberlin.design right now, the same way I do it for clients: a keyword map built from real search data, one page per question, structured data on every page and the AI crawlers allowed in. If it works for my own studio, you will see it here first.
Questions
Can you guarantee a number one ranking?
No honest agency can promise a ranking, because Google and the AI companies decide what they show. What I can promise is the work that earns it: real keyword research, a page for every search worth winning, a fast site, clean structured data and consistent listings.
Is AI search optimization different from SEO?
Mostly it is the same foundation. ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude and Google's AI Overviews pull from search indexes like Google, Bing and Brave, so a site that is indexed, fast and clear is already most of the way there. The AI-specific part is letting their crawlers in and writing pages that answer questions directly with specific facts.
How long does SEO take to work?
New pages usually get crawled within days once the site is in Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. Rankings build over weeks to months, faster for specific searches like a service plus a town, slower for broad national terms.
What is llms.txt, and do I need it?
It is a plain-text summary of your site written for AI tools. Google has said it does not use it, but it costs nothing and some AI tools may read it, so every site I build gets one.
Do you do SEO for sites you did not build?
Yes. SEO and AI search setup can be its own project on an existing site. Some fixes depend on what the platform allows, and we will talk through that on the first call.
What does it cost?
The setup is included in every website package. On its own, it is quoted per project. Ongoing work outside a plan is $85 an hour with a $50 minimum.
